Hair Directors offers a welcoming salon experience with a full range of professional hair cutting, coloring, and styling services, using high-quality products such as Pulp Riot, Pravana, Brazilian Blowout, Biolage, and more.
Our salon is led by Owner Doreen Wagner, whose expertise, passion for the craft, and strong commitment to client satisfaction have shaped Hair Directors for decades. Doreen began her career after attending Arlington Academy and found her professional home when she joined the Hair Directors team in 1991. Just three years later, in 1994, she proudly became owner.
While no longer working full-time, Doreen continues to guide our vision, dedicated to preserving the legacy of artistry and excellence she built over more than 30 years. Alongside Salon Manager Colleen and our talented, dedicated stylists, Hair Directors remains a trusted destination for hair care in Buffalo Grove, where a rich history meets modern salon excellence.

With over 30 years of history in our chairs, Coleen is truly part of the soul of Hair Directors! Joining us in 1994, she has built a loyal following through her skill and genuine passion. She brings that incredible depth of knowledge and dedication to her role as Salon Manager, focusing on supporting our artists and guaranteeing an exceptional experience for each and every client.
DOREEN
Licensed Cosmetologist & Salon Owner
Starting her career after attending Arlington Academy, Doreen found her home when she joined the Hair Directors team in 1991. By 1994, she had achieved the proud milestone of becoming Owner. Though semi-retired and working part-time now, Doreen continues to guide our vision, dedicated to preserving the legacy of artistry and excellence she built over three incredible decades. We are proud to have her ongoing direction!

She backs her passion with extensive certifications, including HotHead Extensions, Pravana Color, Brazilian Blowout, DevaCurl, and Pulp Riot Color.

Cyndi is a master stylist bringing over 35 years of elite experience. With advanced training at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Toronto and 25 years of experience as a stylist at Mario Tricoci, Cyndi specializes in custom cuts, color, extensions, keratin services and facial waxing. She uses the Keune Hair Color System & carries Kevin Murphy Products. Her preferred hair extension brands are Socap, Hot Heads and Haloculture.

Client Information Policy: To comply with Illinois state regulations, we require your first and last name and phone number for accurate client records. Your information is kept private and secure and is only used for appointment management and communication.
Arrival: Please arrive 10 minutes early for your scheduled appointment.
Lateness: To ensure full service effectiveness and client satisfaction, we may need to shorten services for late arrivals. Please notify us if you anticipate running behind.
Cancellations: We require and appreciate 24-hour notice for all service cancellations.
